Alan Louis Martinez, 30, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Monday, March 31st, suddenly, at Memorial Health System, Colorado Springs, CO.

Alan was born in La Junta, CO on April 12, 1983, a son of Cynthia K. (Miller) and Ronald Alan Martinez

He attended the Rocky Ford school system and graduated from the OJC Law Enforcement Academy.

He worked at Lewis Bolt & Nut in La Junta, CO, and had also worked at the Boys Ranch in La Junta.

Alan was well respected by his peers and was a good man with a kind heart, he always had a smile and was there for anybody who needed him. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by His parents Ron & Cindy Martinez of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Adam Martinez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Kendal Martinez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Aeden Martinez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Dylan Martinez, of Rocky Ford, CO; 2 children special to his heart Cristopher & Bridgette McClain, of Rocky Ford, CO; Grandmother Alice Martinez, of Canon City, CO; Grandparents Stanley & Marilyn Miller, of Rocky Ford, CO; Niece Arianna Martinez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Niece Lauren Martinez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Nephew Adam Martinez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Special Friend Jessica Ward, of Rocky Ford, CO; Numerous Aunts, Uncles & Cousins

Alan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Martinez; aunt, Linda (Martinez) Valenciano; uncle, Lou Martinez; cousin, Donald Pettie

He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and Lewis Bolt & Nut family.

Funeral Services will be at the First Christian Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 8th, with Pastor John Dell officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, April 7th from 11 AM until 5 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
