Mr. Albino Gonzales, 87, of Ordway passed away on Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 peacefully at Sangre De Cristo Hospice House, Pueblo, CO. Albino was born in Sugar City, CO on August 24, 1925, the son of the late Prospero and Delfinia (Salas) Gonzales. He was the husband of Cecilia (Reil) Gonzales. They were married on Dec. 29, 1947 in Ordway, CO, she survives. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Missile Mechanic at Pueblo Army Depot in Pueblo, CO after 31 years. Albino was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ordway, CO. He was a lifetime member of the DAV. He is survived by his wife Cecilia of the home; Daughter Pauline Stephens of Colorado Springs, CO; Son Rueben husband of Melody Gonzales of Crowley, CO.; Daughter Lucy wife of Paul Gonzales-Romero of Augusta, GA; Daughter Rose Ann wife of Raul Sanchez of Pueblo, CO; Brother Tony Gonzales of Pueblo, CO; Brother Jim husband of Mary Ellen Gonzales of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister Cecilia Noe of Denver, CO; Brother David Gonzales of Denver, CO. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren: Jerry & Tracy Stephens, Jacob LaVoo, Julia Sanchez, Penny Romero, Shawna Ace, Dawn Bowers, Bobbie Blanco; 9 Great-Grandchildren: Jonah & Carrie Ann Stephens Cassandra Williams, Zack Ace, Angelic Ybarra, Drake Hiekes, Samantha Bowers, Patrick Bowers, Ned Blanco, Jr. Albino was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Peter's Catholic Church, Ordway, CO, at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 10th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. A Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. A Rosary Service will be recited at 10:30 AM on Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ordway. Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery Sugar City, CO. Family request donations to Walsenburg State Veterans Nursing Home 23500 US Hwy. 160 Walsenburg, CO 81089 or Sangre De Cristo Hospice; 1107 Pueblo Blvd. Way; Pueblo, CO 81005.
