Mrs. Alexandra Petra Castillo, 67, of Rocky Ford died Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008 while in the company of family members at her residence. Alexandra was born in Las Vegas, NM on April 5, 1941, the daughter of the late Jose and Leandra (Martinez) Garcia. She was the wife of Jose Castillo. They were married on January 4, 1974. He survives of the home. She worked at B.O.C.E.S., on the Migrant Council, as a GED Instructor, a paralegal and helped a lot of people with their immigration paperwork. She enjoyed going to Cripple Creek, playing Bingo and going to various restaurants. She is survived by her husband, Jose of the home; Son Robert husband of Anna Garcia of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Victor Garcia best friend of Tina Minjarez of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Cecelia wife of Fred Jaramillo of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister-in-law Vicky wife of Daniel Caballero Brother-in-law Manule Castillo of Mexico; 4 other brother-in-laws; God Children Janet Le Blanc of Rocky Ford, CO; God Children Julie Garcia of Denver, CO. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way. Graveside inurnment services will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford, CO, at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 29th. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected.
