Alfonso Diaz, 60, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Friday, October 2nd, suddenly, at Parkview Medical Center, Pueblo, Pueblo County. Alfonso was born in Rocky Ford, CO on October 30, 1954, a son of Mary (Chavez) Cortinez and the late Peleon Diaz. He attended schools in Rocky Ford. He worked as a Masonry. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO. He is survived by His mother Mary Cortinez of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Amy, wife of Nathan Brubaker, of Dallas, TX; Daughter Angela Diaz, of Austin, TX; Son Joaquin, husband of Katie Diaz, of Colorado Springs, CO; Brother Espiridion Diaz, of La Junta, CO; Sister Celia, wife of Jesus Berumen, of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Simon, husband of Martha Diaz, of Los Angeles, CA; Sister Julia Diaz, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Juanita, wife of Noe Ramirez, of Pueblo, CO; Sister Felipa, wife of Herman Gallegos, of Perryton, TX; Brother Antonio Diaz, of Denver, CO. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 8th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-6 PM. at St. Peters Catholic Church. A Rosary Service will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday at St. Peters Catholic Church.
