Allen Melville

Allen Franklin Melville, 89, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Wednesday, December 28th, at his residence. Allen was born in Pueblo, CO on December 15, 1927, a son of the late Ruth E. (Zimmerman) and Allen Franklin Melville, Sr. He was the widower of Helen Louise (Curtis) Melville. They were married on Nov. 7, 1953 in New Mexico. He graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1945 and from University of Colorado in 1950 with an Electrical Engineering Degree. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked as an Engineer for JD Merrifield then worked for Nagel Wire Company. Allen enjoyed going for long walks, doing crossword puzzles and putting jigsaw puzzles together. He is survived by; Daughter Connie Cordova, of Montrose, CO; Granddaughter Tashina Cordova, of Montrose, CO; Granddaughter Naomi Cordova, of Montrose, CO; Great-Granddaughter Kellie Cordova-Sandoval, of Montrose, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; granddaughter: Nakima Cordova Per his request there will be no services. Inurnment will be private at a later time.
