Mrs. Aloha Ann Wolf, 72, of Karval passed away Thursday, June 17th, 2010 peacefully at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, CO. Aloha was born in Colorado Springs, CO on September 16, 1937, the daughter of the late Robert and Veda Mae (Henson) Sorensen. She attended school in the Karval area. She was the wife of Melvin Wolf. They were married on June 19, 1955 in Ordway, CO. He survives. She was a member of Blue Cliff Methodist Church and the Willing Workers all in Karval. Aloha lived in the Karval community her entire life. She loved the people and the way of life there. Aloha and Melvin ranched and farmed. They ran a custom harvest business throughout the San Luis Valley, Oklahoma and around Lincoln County. Aloha loved her grandchildren and enjoyed sharing her time and teaching them about the country way of life. She was wonderful with animals. She had a practical nature and a genuine love of people. She always had a quick smile and never met a stranger. She loved to quilt and would work for hours on her "projects." She is survived by her husband, Melvin; Son Wayne husband of Rose Wolf of Karval, CO; Son Randy husband of Dale Wolf of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister Donna wife of Butch Kravig of Pueblo, CO. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Breanne (David) Garrison, Tim, Andrew, Justin and Holly Wolf, Andrea (Jeff) Farley, Tony (Becky) Hamby and Tiffany Hamby; 8 great-grandchildren: Sadie, Ryan, Alyssa and Jessica Garrison, Logan & Chelsea Farley, Krista & Natasia Hamby. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 grandsons. Funeral Services will be at the Karval High School, Karval, CO, at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 21st, with Rev. Olga Hard and Rev. Ben Wentworth officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 9 AM until service time at the Karval High School. Interment will be in the Karval Cemetery, Karval, CO. Memorials may be made to Blue Cliff Methodist Church, c/o Cherry Stogsdill, 11840 State Rd. 71, Karval, CO 80823. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford-Ustick Funeral Home, Rocky Ford.
