Andres "Andy" Medrano

August 23, 1933 - May 25, 2017

Andres Lopez (Andy) Medrano, 83, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Thursday, May 25th, at his residence. Andy was born in Harlingen, TX on August 23, 1933, a son of the late Lena (Lopez) and Jose Medrano. He was the husband of Domicinda (Rivera) Medrano, they were married on December 3, 1956 in Rocky Ford, CO. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired as a Service Technician Retired from Pueblo Army Dept and La Junta Power Plant. Andy enjoyed reading the bible daily, golfing, vacationing, tinkering in the garage, but most of all spending time and going for rides  with his "baby love" wife. He is survived by his wife; Domicinda; Daughter Darlene, wife of Raymond Palacio Son Jimmy, husband of Elizabeth Medrano Son Steve, husband of Deann Medrano Son Phillip Medrano Son Sandy, husband of Rebecca Medrano Sister Eva, wife of Simon Llanos Brother Ray, husband of Candy Medrano He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 2nd at Ford - Ustick Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, CO. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be private at a later date. We would like to extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to Krystin Medrano (grand daughter) for all the care she provided to our father.
