Angelina "Angie" Theresa Martinez, 83, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Tuesday, December 22nd, at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta.

Angelina was born in Manzanola, CO on September 14, 1937, a daughter of the late Ophelia Genevieve (Martinez) and Modesto Frank Cruz.

She was the widow of Dan Eliseo Martinez, they were married on Dec. 20, 1952 in Raton, NM.

Angie enjoyed being outside, spending time in her yard. She love to croche, telling stories, cooking and preparing and eating chili, coloring and cross word puzzles. Most importantly she especially loved to spend time with her family and spoiling the grandkids.

She is survived by: Son Danny (George Anna) Martinez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Anthony Martinez, of La Junta, CO; Son David (Lori) Martinez, of Thornton, CO; Son Rick (Debbie) Martinez, of Ft. Lupton, CO; Daughter Judy Martinez, of Thornton, CO; Daughter Rachel Martinez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Flora Cruz, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Carol Reyes, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Irene Cruz, of Ontario, CA; Sister Nancy Ujueta, of Georgia; Sister Freda (Randy) Salazar, of Victorville, CA; Brother Frankie (Frances) Cruz, of Las Vegas, NV; Brother Lawrence (Gina) Cruz, of Upland, CA.

She is also survived by Cris, Matt, Preston & Jennifer Martinez; Suzanne (Justin) Martinez, Anthony & Antoinette Martinez; Justin & Mariah Martinez; Sheree (Alexis) Martinez, Rick & Sammi Martinez; Angelina & Shyanne Maestas; 16 great - grandchildren and 1 great - great - grandson

Angie was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Dan E. Martinez; grandson: Lawrence Perez; brothers: David, Johnny, Rudy & Gary Cruz.

Due to COVID - 19, the family asks that you wear a mask for the viewing from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 29th at Ford - Ustick Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, CO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately by the family. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford, CO.
