Anna Lorraine Lofing, 94, of Boone, CO, passed away Friday, December 4th, surrounded by her family and caretaker Priska, at her residence.

Anna was born on Buckeye Hill on October 15, 1926, a daughter of the late Emma (Puls) and Frederick C. Weskamp during the dust bowl days. The family moved to Crowley and Anna attended all 12 years there, graduating in 1944. Her dad ran the White Eagle Filling Station and Anna spent time working there after school and on the weekends.

After graduation, Anna attended Midwest College of Commerce in Pueblo until she got called to a job as junior clerk at the War Price and Ration Office until it closed in 1945. She also worked at the Labor Camp for German prisoners for a short while.

She was the widow of John Lofing, they were married on June 23, 1946 in Sugar City, CO they celebrated 57 years when he passed away in 2003. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to a cabin in Boone and later onto a farm south of Boone. Eventually they purchased the farm where they raised crops and livestock and spent the rest of their lives.

Anna loved her family and had many friends. She was a loving mother to her 4 children Doug, Bart, Sherri and Terri. She helped with the Pueblo County health program and was a den mother at school. She was a acting treasurer for Cub Scout Pack 37C and a member of the Jolly Janes Club of Boone. Anna and John were longtime members of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fowler. Anna loved and enjoyed her job as Rural Mail Carrier for 32 years where she made lifelong friends. She enjoyed a long retirement, loving and spoiling her cats.

She is survived by: Son Conrad (Lila) Lofing, of Osawatomie, KS; Daughter Sherri (Jack) Seaton, of Pueblo, CO; Daughter Terri (Stan Neugebauer) Nair, of Cool, CA; Son Bart (Leahan Lancaster) Lofing, of Henderson, NV.

She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and caregiver Priska Shake.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother: Fritz; 2 sisters: Margaret Davis and Gertrude Swift.

Viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until service time at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 10th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fowler, CO with Pastor Wayne Josephson officiating.Interment will be in the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church 5th & Grant Av.; Fowler, CO 81039 or Sangre De Cristo Hospice; 1207 Pueblo Blvd Way; Pueblo, CO 81005.
