Annie Gonzales, 88, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Saturday, June 6th, peacefully, at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center-Nursing Center East, La Junta. Annie was born in Sabinoso, NM on June 8, 1926, a daughter of the late Josie (Baca) and Alfredo Aragon. She attended school in New Mexico She was the widow of Arturo Gonzales, they were married on March 26, 1948 in Raton, NM. Annie and her husband Arthur were the owner/operators of Art's Place in Rocky Ford, CO. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. She is survived by; Son Art, husband of Jenny Gonzales, Jr., of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Benito, husband of Nancy Gonzales, of Aurora, CO; Daughter June, wife of Gilbert Medina, of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Alfred, husband of Flora Gonzales, of Manzanola, CO; Daughter Geraldine, wife of Arnie Chavez, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Diana, wife of Ron Watkins, of Pratt, KS; Brother-in-law Henry Magdaleno, of Rocky Ford, CO. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren: Krystie Ambrosio, Amy Roberts, Benita Gonzales, Alphonso Gonzales, Julio Gonzales, Julian Medina, Billy Medina, Brian Chavez, Arnie Chavez, Jr., 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. Annie was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Arthur; brother: Freddie Aragon, sisters: Mary Guerrero, Alice Sandoval, Della Roybal, Jean Magdaleno. A Rosary Service will be recited at 9:30 AM Thursday, June 11th with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM both services will be at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO with Fr.
