Mr. Archie Ervine Torres, 67, of Rocky Ford departed this life on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, CO. Archie was born in Hannah, WY on November 23, 1944, the son of the late Patricio and Rufina Jenny (Valencia) Torres. He attended schools in the Ft. Garland and Rocky Ford areas. He was the husband of Bertha (Casias) Torres. They were married on July 27, 1963 in Rocky Ford, CO. She survives. He retired from the City of La Junta, he had previously worked for Valco Concrete in Rocky Ford and also for Cornelius Transfer in La Junta. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. He is survived by his wife Bertha of the home; Daughter Nancy Torres of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Betty wife of Bret Daniels of Peyton, CO; Son Archie Jr. husband of Kimberly Torres of Cripple Creek, CO; Sister Florence Lucero of Walsenburg, CO; Sister Marvine Vigil of Pueblo, CO; Sister Eliria Corral of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Elva Sandoval of Rocky Ford, CO; Grandson Gabriel Torres of Cripple Creek, CO; Granddaughter Brittany Encinias of La Junta, CO; Granddaughter Kinzie Ensor of Rocky Ford, CO. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson: Bradley Daniels; In-Laws: Seferina & Moises Casias. A Rosary Service will be recited at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 8th, 2012 by Helen Pino & Vita Ornelas with A Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 all at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. A Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 from 6-7 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. CASKETBEARERS: J.M. Tucker, Del Ensor, Dave Delong, Pat Vigil, Jonathan Singleton, Joseph Singleton HONORARY CASKETBEARERS: Steve Vigil, Leonard Vigil, Tony Rangel, J. D.
