Asano Quarne, 95, of Crowley, CO, passed away Tuesday, February 27th, at Crowley County Nursing Center, Ordway.
Asano was born in Crowley, CO on April 27, 1922, a daughter of the late Mika (Koomoto) and Ihachi Akagi.
She was married to George Kiyoshi Tashiro, he preceded her in death in 1955. She married Ordean Quarne in 1962, he preceded her in death.
She was a member of Crowley Community Baptist Church Crowley, CO.
She graduated from Crowley High School in 1940.
Asano worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Pueblo Army Depot Pueblo, CO. She also worked as a postal clerk at the Crowley Post Office.
She was involved with the Community Baptist Church in Crowley. She worked with various youth groups and the church choir, She was also instrumental in starting hymn sing at the Crowley County Nursing Center.
She is survived by
Son Douglas, husband of Sandra Tashiro, of Littleton, CO;
Daughter Sharon Tashiro, of Crowley, CO;
Sister Sue Nagamoto, of Boulder, CO;
Granddaughter April Montgomery, of Crowley, CO;
Grandson Spencer, husband of Alaina Montgomery, of Pasadena, CA;
Great-Grandson Linkin Baty, of Crowley, CO.
She is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands; sister: Ayu Tanaka; 4 brothers: Katashi, Shigeru, Genzo & Kaku Akagi.
Funeral services will be at the Crowley Community Baptist Church, 319 E. 1st. Street; Crowley, CO. Per her wishes there will be no public viewing. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Ordway, CO. Family request donations to Crowley County Heritage Center P.O.
