Aurora "Dora" Medina Mayberry, age 96, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family on February 12, 2024. Aurora was born on August 13, 1927 to her parents, Jose Leon Medina and Estefanita Gallegos Medina, on a ranch in Maes, NM, northeast of Las Vegas, NM.

She married the love of her life, Garland Mayberry, in June 1974. Together they lived a full, fun-filled, and loving life for over 49 years. They loved traveling and spending time with friends and family, and she was often the life of the party. She was loved by her many friends and family, and will be remembered for her compassion and kindness for doing good deeds, never with any expectation of reward, but solely because someone was in need of help.

Aurora was preceded in death by her first husband Ernie Busby, her three brothers, Samuel Medina, Pedro Medina, and Tobias Medina, and her sister, Delia Medina Vigil.

Aurora is survived by her loving husband, Garland, her sister, Carmen (Angie) Medina Sexton of Santa Rosa, NM, her Stepson, Jamie Wright of Seattle, WA, her stepdaughter, Cindy Wright from Missouri, three granddaughters, and numerous nephews and nieces.
