Benjamin Adame Ornelas, 63, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Tuesday, October 21st, suddenly, at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta. Benjamin was born in Loving, NM on March 29, 1951, a son of the late Gabriella (Adame) and Martin Jose Ornelas. He was the husband of Connie Julia (Cordova) Ornelas they were married on January 18, 1994 in La Junta, CO. Benjamin worked as a Truck Driver at Ordway Feeds in Ordway, CO. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. He is survived by his wife Connie of the home; Son Gabriel Ornelas, of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Renee Ornelas, of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Ryan Ornelas, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Juanita Bermudez, of Lansing, MI; Sister Hortencia, wife of Johnny Martinez, of Terra Bella, CA; Sister Cora Tejerina, of Lansing, MI; Brother Raymond, husband of Gloria Ornelas, of Manzanola, CO; Brother Sammy, husband of Josie Ornelas, of Wellington, TX; Brother Bobby, husband of Senida Ornelas, of Carlsbad, NM; Brother Fermin, husband of Julia Ornelas, of Rocky Ford, CO; Felicita Mendoza of Rocky Ford, CO; He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren: Desiree Jimenez, Saisha Ornelas, Jadon Jaramillo, Diego Stephens, Andrue Ornelas, Sarah Ornelas, Isabella Ornelas, Daeshia Ornelas; 1 great-grandchild: Angelo Juan David Cisneros. Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Porfilio "Pilo" Ornelas; infant sister: Miranda Ornelas A Rosary service will be recited on Wednesday at 10:30 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 29th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. Friends are invited to call from Friday 12 PM until 3 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Valley View Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO.
