Bennie Aragon, 86 of Rocky Ford, Colorado passd away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Crowely County Nursing Center in Ordway, Colorado. Bennie was born on December 9, 1930, a son of the late Mary and Joe Aragon. He was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, Co. Bennie enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. He enjoyed taking care of his 5 Grandchildren as they were growing up. Bennie loved to watch every episode of Bonzana. He was a avid baseball fan, his favorite team being the Oakland A's. Bennie served in the United States Army and retired from the Pueblo Army Depot after 37 years of service. Bennie Loved his Lord and Savior. He will truly be missed by everyone that knew him, he always put a smile on everyone's face. He is survived by his children, Dean Aragon (Rocky Ford), Janet Arenas (Rocky Ford) and Noreen Aragon (Pueblo). Brothers Dephie (Soccorro) Aragon, Billy (Frances) Aragon, Joe (Pauline) Aragon, Sister Virginia Rodriguez and sister in-law Mary Aragon. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Adam Padilla, Jude (Mia) Aragon, Dean'o Aragon, LeAnn Padilla and Aubrey Aragon; 8 great-grandchildren: Isabel Aragon, Lorenzo Martinez, Makayla Aragon, Jude Aragon, Jr., Dimaggio Aragon, Dion Aragon, Givanni Aragon and Alyssa Aragon. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Olivia, his parents and his brothers, Henry Aragon and Andrew Aragon. A rosary service will be recited at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Celebration on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, Co. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford - Ustick Funeral Home.
