Bertha Carmen Starks, 74, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Sunday, September 29th, at her residence.

Carmen was born in Rocky Ford, CO on February 22, 1945, a daughter of the late Vicky Mary (Apodaca) and Lewis Antonio Bustamante.

She was the widow of Bill Starks and a homemaker.

Carmen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great - grandchildren. She liked taking care of her house plants, cooking, crocheting and was dedicated to helping her children whenever they needed her. She loved to have a good time with friends and family and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by: Son William Starks, of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Sherri Starks, of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Hope, wife of Jorge Trejo, of Wichita, KS; Daughter Tierra Starks, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Theresa, wife of Rex Van Galder, of De Moines, IA.

She is also survived by Grandchildren: 11; Great-Grandchildren: 9; numerous nieces and nephews.

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Services will be private at a later time.
