Bonna Dee Riley

October 17, 1933 - November 16, 2014

Bonna Dee Riley, 81, of Rocky Ford, died Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Pioneer Health Care Center in Rocky Ford. She was born October 17, 1933 in the Rocky Ford to the late Claude and Naomi (Lane) Green. She Graduated from RFHS in 1951 and started a family. She worked at the local bowling alley and helped out on her parents farm. After her marriage ended in divorce she went back to school. She graduated from La Junta Mennonite Hospital School of Practical Nursing in 1968. She then worked at Pioneer Health Care Center for 29 years. She is preceded in death by her parents Naoma and Claude Green, and Daughter Sherry Stanley. She is survived by her son Terry Riley of Arizona. Granddaughters Candace Minjarez, Melissa and Christin Stanley of Greeley, and great grandchildren Luis, Christopher, and Antonio Minjarez, and Dani Pena also all of Greeley. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Chris Becker Officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected.
