Carl Lee Miller was born on July 10, 1955, in Pueblo, to Clarence and Violet Miller. He grew up in and around Fowler and Olney Springs, where he developed a strong work ethic and mechanical skill at a young age. Carl served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1977. He was a member of the 10th Mountain Division and was honorably discharged. After his military service, Carl worked as a skilled mechanic and farmer. He was also an entrepreneur, always willing to take on projects that required hands-on problem solving and self-reliance. He was known for his ability to fix, build, or improve almost anything he worked on. Carl had a lifelong love of fast vehicles and motorcycles. In his younger years, he competed in drag racing and was known for his speed and mechanical knowledge. He also loved motocross, was highly skilled at it, and owned several dirt bikes over the years. He was known to be generous and kind to his friends and was always willing to help those he cared about. He was devoted to his children and supported them throughout his life.

Carl was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Miller; his mother, Violet Mansfield; his step-mother, Barbara Miller; his sisters, Lynette Miller, Debbie Miller, and step-sister Dell LeCount; his stepbrother brother, James LeCount; and his son, Steven Ray Miller.

He is survived by four of his children, in order of birth: James Michael Robinson, Lisa Marie May, Kelsey Shannon Miller, and Jason Lee Thomas Miller. He is also survived by his brother, Howard Miller; his sister, Carolyn Spinks, and stepsisters Kerri LeCount, and Candy Kirby; and by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carl will be remembered for his skills, his independence, and the loyalty he showed to family and friends.
