Carla Sara Aragon, 79, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Monday, December 31st, while in the company of family, at her residence.
Carla was born in San Luis, CO on April 4, 1939, a daughter of the late Sophia (Romero) and Pete Pacheco, Sr.
She was the wife of Epifanio Aragon, they were married on Feb. 17th, 1962 in Denver, CO.
She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO.
She retired from the Rocky Ford Food Market. She had also worked for Hirakata Farms and Harris Pharmacy.
Carla enjoyed playing darts with one of her best friends Marlene. She loved making home made tortillas and her famous bean/green chili burritos. Carla was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She loved all of her "babies". She enjoyed going to watch her grandchildren play sports. She always had to have her favorite perfume and had to make sure her earrings matched her shirt. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Epifanio of the home; Daughter Jennifer Aragon, of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Conrad (Rachel) Aragon, of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Helen (Lawrence) Pinon, of Commerce City, CO; Sister Gloria (Daniel) Pinon, of Tucson, AZ; Sister Cordie Pacheco, of Thornton, CO; Sister Ruth Castellano, of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister Patsy Mineo, of Thornton, CO; Sister Terry Erickson, of Commerce City, CO; Sister Debbie (Bob) Valladao, of Denver, CO; Brother Joe (Linda) Pacheco, of Pueblo, CO; Brother Jimmy (Carol) Pacheco, of Denver, CO; Grandson Conrad (Elsie) Aragon, II, of Rocky Ford, CO; Grandson Mathew Aragon, of Pueblo, CO; Granddaughter Brandy (Mike Lucero) Aragon, of Falcon, CO; Granddaughter Breanna Montanez, of Rocky Ford, CO.
She is also survived by 7 Great-Grandchildren: Lyra Aragon, Jaevyn Aragon, Cadence Aragon, Michael Lucero, Eli Lucero, Kendra Aragon & Maceo Maldonado
Carla was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Pete Pacheco, Jr.
A Rosary Service will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 8th with the Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 AM both at the St. Peter's Catholic Church. Inurnment will be private at a later time.
