IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carlos Reynaldo
Gonzales
July 13, 1932 – November 13, 2023
It is with immense sadness that we announce that Carlos Reynaldo Gonzales entered into eternal rest on 13 November 2023 surrounded by his beloved children. He was 91. He was a beloved partner to Brenda, a cherished father and the best grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather to many. Carlos, affectionately known as "Popo" to his grandchildren, was born on 13 July 1932 in Chacon, New Mexico to Rafael and Adelina. Carlos worked hard throughout his life and instilled that work ethic in his children. He loved his family and had faith that would move mountains. His wisdom was shared with his grandchildren often and his jokes were always something that would bring a smile to everyone's face. Popo made every one of his grandchildren feel special and loved. He was a gentle soul, with a smile that would light up a room. Carlos was never one to withhold a helping hand from those in need and made many sacrifices throughout his life to help those around him. He loved reading his Bible and sharing scripture with his children and grandchildren. He and Brenda enjoyed doing word searches together and going to Cripple Creek. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and sharing his faith with them. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sangre de Cristo Hospice for their loving care during this difficult time.
He is survived by his children, Katherine (Kenneth), June, Robert, Renee (James), and Elizabeth; bonus daughter Lillian; sister Marie; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren Paul, Nate, Leah, Ricardo, Marinita, Maria, Sarita, Violet, Andrea, Alexis, Amber, Sativa, Carlos, Onefre, Arlene, Danielle, Alan, & Schuyler as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his love, Brenda Berumen, his sons Matthew and Sonny, son-in-law Salome, his parents and siblings, Pricilla, Flora, Rafael, Jose, Valentino, and Robert.
The family appreciates all expressions of sympathy and condolences.
