Carrol Duane Donelson

Carrol was born in Hopedale, IL on January 19, 1935, the son of the late Henry Franklin and Martha Marie (Frevert) Donelson.

He graduated from Rocky Ford High School and attended various junior colleges in the area.

He was the husband of Millicent Ann (Ustick) Donelson. They were married on January 5, 1954 in Raton, NM. She survives.

He retired as the Owner and Operator of Ustick-Donelson Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, CO. He also retired from Southern Colorado Power Company in 1977. He was currently working at the McClelland Apartments as property manager.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rocky Ford.

He was a member of numerous local organizations and very active in the community.

He is survived by his wife; Millicent of the home; Daughter Carolyn "Lynnie" wife of Les Feik of Rocky Ford, Co.; Son Michael husband of Suzanne Donelson of Rocky Ford, CO; Son James "J.D." Donelson of Georgetown, CO; Brother Dean husband of Nancy Donelson of Americas, KS; Brother Edwin husband of Linda Donelson of Overland Park, KS; Sister Evelyn Donelson of Fort Meyer, Florida. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: John Douglas and Loren Dale Donelson.

Funeral Services will be at the First United Methodist Church, Rocky Ford, at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 18th, with Rev. Olga Hard officiating. Visitation will be on from Friday 8:30 AM until noon at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. Memorials may be made to To the charity of your choice.
