Charles W. (Chuck) Meyer, 80, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Wednesday, July 18th, peacefully surrounded by his family, at his residence.

Charles was born in Rost Township, MN on April 17, 1938, a son of the late Mary (Erbes) and Raymond Meyer.

He graduated from Sioux Valley High School in Sioux Valley, MN and attended college at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN.

Chuck was the husband of Peggy Ann (Sparks) Meyer, they were married on August 5, 1976 in Rock Springs, WY.

He attended the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Rocky Ford, CO.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Chuck retired as a Shipping Foreman at Lewis Bolt & Nut in La Junta. He had also worked at Halliburton Services, Wonderbread, Sather Cookie Company and various other jobs.

Charles is survived by: wife Peggy of the home; 3 daughters, Sheryl Kama, of Hilo, HI; Kelly, wife of Patrick Barrow, of Gilbert, AZ; Lisa, wife of Gary Jay, of Kailua, HI; 3 step sons Shane Bayless, of Rock Spring, WY; Scott Bayless, of Crestview, FL; Ronald Bayless husband of Nicole of Orem, Utah; a sister, Sharon, wife of Stan Block, of Fairmont, MI; 3 brothers, Arnold, husband of Leann Meyer, of Worthington, MN; Bill, husband of Sharon Meyer, of Round Lake, MN; Jim, husband of Marcia Meyer, of Amery, WI; 14 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; Mother-in-Law; Jean Stumph.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 24th at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Rocky Ford, CO with Pastor Clare Skov officiating. Inurnment will be at a later time.
