Mr. Charles Keith (Chuck) Montoya, 53, of Rocky Ford passed away Tuesday, November 6th, 2012 peacefully at Parkview Medical Center, Pueblo, CO. Charles was born in Rocky Ford, CO on August 6, 1959, the son of the Jose Milton and Barbara Josie (Garcia) Montoya. He graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1977. He worked as a Sergeant at Department of Corrections and also had worked at the Colorado Boys Ranch, Otero Tire and the Arkansas Valley Community Center. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO. He is survived by His mother; Barbara Montoya of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Ryan (Trinity) Montoya of Rocky Ford, CO; Step Daughter Holli-Dawn (Ector Ruiz) Montoya of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Donnie Montoya of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Greg (Ernestina) Montoya of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister Nancy (John) Hindes of Pasadena, Maryland; Grandson Deuce Aragon of Rocky Ford, CO; Grandson Ezekiel Montoya of Rocky Ford, CO; Grandson Alekzander Ruiz of Rocky Ford, CO; Special Family Timmie Garcia of Rocky Ford, CO; Special Family Vidalia Cordova of Rocky Ford, CO; Special Family Darren (Shannon) Garcia of Rocky Ford, CO; Special Family Carmel (Maria) Montoya of Rocky Ford, CO. He is also survived by 1 niece: Toni Rae Montoya; 4 nephews: Emanuel & Jacob Montoya, Danny & Andrew Hindes and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton; grandparents and many aunts, uncles & cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 12th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. A Rosary Service will be recited at 6:00 PM on Sunday at St. Peters Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
