Charles was born in Spade, TX. on November 30, 1936, the son of the late Wylie Paul and Floy Dimple (Stowers) Young. He graduated from high school at Littlefield TX.
He was the husband of Norma Kay (Parker) Young. They were married on October 3, 1954 in Littlefield, TX .
He was the owner/operator of the Young's Soft Water Service in Rocky Ford, CO. Charles also farmed west of Rocky Ford for many years.
He is survived by his wife Norma of the home; Daughter: Rita (Randy) Ilseng of Plano, TX.; Daughter: Margo (Edwin) Young-Bedford of Woodland Park, Co.; Son: Rick (Patti) Young of Rocky Ford, Co.; Sister: Irene (Jerry) Austin of El Paso, TX.; Sister: Shirley (Ralph) Hagemeier of Kalemie Conga, Africa; Brother: Hershel Young of El Paso, TX.; Brother-in-law: Curtis (Fran) Parker of Edmond, OK.; Granddaughter: Questa Young of Manzanola, Co.; Grandson: Donovan Ilseng of Plano, Tx.; Grandson: Jon Bedford of Woodland Park, Co.; Grandson: Brian Young of Rocky Ford, Co.; Great-Grandson: Garhett Bruna of Manzanola, Co.; Great-Grandson: Colton Bruna of Manzanola, Co.
Charlie was preceded in death by a son: Charles C. Young Jr. "Punk" and his Mother and Father-in-law.
Funeral Services will be at the Crossroads Church in Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 3rd, with Pastor Mike Beecham and Mike Davis officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. Casketbearers will be Jon Bedford, Brian Young, Ed Bedford, Randy Ilseng, Mike Davis, Steve Rudolph, Hugh Schooley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arkansas Valley Hospice 118 W. 4th La Junta, CO 81050 or Crossroads Church - Worship Team.
