Charmaine "Maina" Sidhu

February 17, 1956 - August 25, 2015

Charmaine Elaine (Maina) Sidhu, 59, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Tuesday, August 25th, while in the company of family members, at her residence. Charmaine was born in La Junta, CO on February 17, 1956, a daughter of Ruth and Jess Herrera. Maina graduated from James Logan High School in Union City, CA and Chabot Community College. She worked as a Office Coordinator at Family Eye Center Rocky Ford, CO, for 13 years. She had previously worked as a Head Start Teacher in California, at St. Peter's Catholic Church and CDS in Rocky Ford. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO. She is survived by Her parents Ruth & Jesus "Jess" Herrera; Sister Roberta Herrera, of Blythewood, SC; Sister Charlotte, wife of Victor Caro, of Hayward, CA; 4 nieces and 1 nephew; 15 great nieces and nephews; Special Friend Pablo Lopez, of Rocky Ford, CO. A Special Thank you to all the family and friends that provided love and support to her parents in this time of need. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 31st, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM at the church prior to the mass. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
