Cheryl Mae Simmons

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cheryl Mae Simmons, beloved daughter, sister, mother and friend. She left this world peacefully at her home on May 20, 2022.

Born on April 28, 1945, in Denver, Cheryl was the cherished daughter of Ellis and Orwetta Cain. She grew up in a faith and love filled household alongside her dear brother and sister, Richard and Elora Jean. Cheryl Mae was preceded in death by her parents and beloved brother, veteran, Richard Cain.

Cheryl's life was a testament to her generous and loving spirit, qualities that defined her relationships and interactions with everyone she met. Her faith in Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, was the light that guided her through both the joys and challenges she encountered in this life.

She is survived by her two children, Michelle Simmons and Kevin

Simmons, who knew her to be the most loving and wonderful mother possible.

Cheryl's memory will be honored at a service held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver at a later date.
