Clarence Leslie "Sonny" Baker

Mr. Clarence Leslie "Sonny" Baker, Jr., 77, of Rocky Ford died on Thursday, December 25th, 2008 suddenly at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, CO. Clarence was born in Vroman, Co on February 19, 1931, the son of the late Clarence Leslie and Helen (Gobin) Baker. He graduated from Vroman and Rocky Ford High School. He was the husband of Barbara (Hamm) Baker. They were married on September 11, 1955 in rural Otero County He retired as an Inspector at Otero County Health Department. He also worked as a meat cutter and delivery person for Stafford's for 12 years. Earlier he had worked as a bus driver for the Rocky Ford school district. He is survived by his wife: Barbara of the home, and a sister: Virginia Thornton of Sterling, CO. Funeral Services will be at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home, Rocky Ford, CO, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30th, with Rev. Steve Culver officiating. Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO.
