Mrs. Claudette Mae Berry, 71, of Littleton, formerly of Rocky Ford, died Thursday, August 11th, 2011 peacefully at Littleton Adventist Hospital surrounded by her family. Claudette was born in Larned, Kansas on March 4, 1940, the daughter of the late Harry L. and Tillie Mae (Likum) Harwood. She married her high school sweetheart Jerry Berry and they recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. Together they raised their 4 children in Swink, CO. Jerry & Claudette ran the restaurant TJ's Steak & Seafood for many years in Swink. After retiring they moved to Denver in 2001 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Claudette enjoyed all kinds of crafts, spending time with her grandchildren, and was happiest at home with Jerry and their 2 dogs. She will be deeply missed. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Rocky Ford, CO. She is survived by her husband: Jerry of the home; Daughter Tawnie wife of Mike Salzbrenner of Burlington, CO; Daughter Danelle wife of Billy Scheicher of Easton, PA; Son Jerry husband of Lori Berry of Littleton, CO; Son Kevin husband of Kary Berry of Littleton, CO; Sister Karen Dillinger; Grandson Michael husband of Amanda Salzbrenner of Burlington, CO; Grandson Nick husband of Stephanie Ward of Aurora, CO; Granddaughter Tiffany Salazar of Alamosa, CO; Granddaughter Elizabeth Salazar of Easton, PA; Grandson Tyler Scheicher; Grandson Kyle Berry of Wichita, KS; Granddaughter Alex wife of Paul Clark of Denver, CO; Granddaughter Sammi Berry of Littleton, CO; Grandson Shawn Berry of Littleton, CO; Grandson Zach Berry of Littleton, CO; Granddaughter Hope Berry of Littleton, CO. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 19th, with Pastor John Dell officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be private at a later time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
