David Lee Grasmick, 73, of Rocky Ford, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in the company of his sister Janice Crosson and nephew Chris Crosson at the Sangre De Cristo Hospice House, Pueblo.
David was born November 27, 1946 in Rocky Ford to the late George and Vivian (Corf) Grasmick. He grew up helping on the family farm and had strong faith in his Lord and Savior. He loved his family and friends dearly.
David graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1965 and then served in the U.S. Army from 1966 - 1968, spending a year in Frankfurt, Germany.
On June 17, 1968 he married the love of his life, LeAnn Williamson, they celebrated 49 years of marriage when she passed away on December 29, 2017.
David attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO. Throughout his life they lived in Thornton, CO, Tuscon, Yuma & Phoenix, AZ. They returned to Rocky Ford in 1997 after he retired as a Banker.
David is survived by a brother: Don Grasmick; 2 sisters: Geraldine (Clyde) Dell and Janice (David) Crosson all of Rocky Ford; sister-in-law: Sharon Grasmick of La Junta; numerous nieces and nephews; close friend: Dee Dee Strizich and many friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents; wife: LeAnn; brother: Ron Grasmick; parents - in - law: William E. and Dorothy Williamson; sister - in - law: Judy Grasmick.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford with Pastor John Dell officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rocky Ford American Legion Post #8. In Lieu of flowers the family has designated a memorial fund with the Sangre De Cristo Hospice House; 1107 Pueblo Blvd. Way, Pueblo, CO 81005.
