Dennis Doyle Salzbrenner, Sr., 81, of Sugar City, CO, passed away Sunday, December 26th, at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta.

Dennis was born in Denver, CO on February 22, 1940, a son of the late Virginia Louise (Smith) and Floyd Robert Salzbrenner.

He graduated from La Junta High School.

He was the widower of Margie Ann (Calvert) Salzbrenner, they were married on December 8, 1956 in Colorado Springs, CO.

Dennis worked as a Cowboy/Yard Manager for Foxley / Catus Feeders in Ordway. He is survived by: Son Dennis D. (Lynette) Salzbrenner, Jr., of Sugar City, CO; Son David (Sheila) Salzbrenner, of Weatherford, TX; Brother Robert Salzbrenner, of Pritchell, CO; Half-Brother Rick Morland

He is also survived by Grandchildren: Cameron (Tracey) Salzbrenner of La Junta, CO; Seth (Cheryl) Salzbrenner of Sugar City, CO; Step-Grandchildren: Stevi Hillman and Cody Hopkins both of Weatherford, TX; Great-Grandsons: Cooper & Calvert Salzbrenner both of Sugar City, CO and Carter & Cash Salzbrenner both of La Junta, CO; Very Dear Friend Jean Eveatt of La Junta, CO; Special Sister - in - Law: Bonnie Calvert of Lakewood, CO.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Margie in 2007; 2 sisters: Beverly Salzbrenner and Darlene Shelly; Half - Brother: Floyd (Bimbo) Salzbrenner
