Mrs. Domitilia Mary (Domie) Aragon, 89, of Rocky Ford died on Friday, November 11th, 2011 while in the company of family members at her residence. Domitilia was born in Koehler, NM on August 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Demitrio and Rosita (Baca) Montoya. Domie spent most of her childhood in Maxwell, NM until her family moved to Rocky Ford, CO in 1938. She was the wife of Frank G. Aragon. They have been united together since 1963. He survives. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO 81067., She was a member of the Ladies Circle of the St. Peter's Catholic Church and was in the Mariachi Choir. She enjoyed volunteering her time to several charities and organizations over many years and was recognized with The Modern Woodmen of America Community Service Award in 1990. Domie was a volunteer member of church organizations and community services for: Community Health Auxiliary Council; Sage Store; Meals on Wheels; St. Peter's Parish Bazaar; St .Peter's Ladies Auxiliary; St. Peter's Mariachi Choir. She is survived by her husband: Frank of the home; Daughter Rose Perez of Colorado Springs, CO; Daughter Gloria (Larry Ornelas) Perez of Colorado Springs, CO; Daughter Evelyn (Antonio) Garcia of Colorado Springs, CO; Daughter Kathy (Henry) Montoya of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Frank (Gloria) Aragon, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; Son Steve (Anita) Aragon of Colorado Springs, CO; Daughter Diana (Telesforo) Hinojosa of Sealy, TX; Sister Beatrice Gallegos of Rocky Ford, CO. She is also survived by Grandchildren: 18; Great-Grandchildren: 40; Great-Great-Grandchildren: 2 She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Jim Montoya, Fidel Valerio & Hilirio Montoya; sister: Patsy Vigil; In-Laws: Miguel & Adela Aragon; brother-in-law: Fred Aragon A Rosary Service will be recited at 10:30 AM on Wednesday by Vita Ornelas with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow all at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 16th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM until 2 PM at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
