Mrs. Donna Belle Sitton, 77, of Rocky Ford passed away on Monday, May 27th, 2013 peacefully at Pioneer Health Care Center Donna was born in Rocky Ford, CO on March 9, 1936, the daughter of the late Hugh Rex and Elsie Margaret (McDonald) Reid, she graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1954. She was the wife of Jerry Sitton. They were married on Jan. 17, 1956 in Raton, NM, he survives. Donna worked as a Bank Teller and also worked as a Clerk for City Hall and had worked at Stauffers/Rhodes Food Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rocky Ford, CO. Donna was active in the church as a Deaconness, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, assistant Sunday School Superintendant and volunteered for various other committees and activities, she was also a member of After Five, The Eastern Star and the Sunshine Circle. Donna is survived by her husband Jerry of the home; Daughter Jeroyln wife of John Lockhart of Las Animas, CO; Daughter Teresa wife of Paul Martinez of Pierceville, KS; Daughter Donna Lea Lundgren of Chanute, KS; Sister Leona Stauffer of Golden, CO; Sister Leora wife of John Hemphill of Richland, WA; Sister Lucille Lance of Pueblo, CO. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Aaron (Areasha) Lockhart, Joshua Lockhart, Victor Romero, Abraham Martinez, Caleb Martinez, Linda Lundgren, Karen Lundgren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brother-in-laws: Dale Lance & O.B. Stauffer. A Memorial Service will be at the First Baptist Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 5th, with Pastor Chris Becker officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church 10th & Maple Rocky Ford, CO 81067. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.fordustick.com.
