Dorothy Lea Hilburn

Dorothy Lea (Dottie) Hilburn, 85, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Sunday, March 26th, at Pioneer Health Care Center. Dorothy was born in Roswell, NM on June 16, 1931, a daughter of the late Clara Maye (Harrington) Johnson and Herbert Joshua Holdman. She was married to Amon Gene Reynolds, they were married on August 25, 1948 in Roswell, NM, they later divorced. She then married Clyde Franklin Hilburn on March 24, 1973 in Farmington, NM, he passed away on March 21, 1980. Her family was her top priority and she enjoyed the time she spent with them. She always said she was so lucky to have such a caring family. She is survived by: Daughter Debbie (Dennis) Caldwell, of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Carol (Frank) Pizzo, of Yellville, AR; Brother Bob (Liza) Holdman, of Bonaire, GA; Sister Valerie (John) McCullough, of Alto, NM. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Michael "Shain" Caldwell of Manzanola, CO; Annette (Kurt) Harvey of Silt, CO; Kim Davis (Eric Austin) of Rocky Ford, CO; Casey Kerr, Heather Shower, Daniel Flager, Krystina Flager, Holly Pizzo all of Arkansas. 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Gene Reynolds and Clyde Hilburn; 2 brothers: Herbert & Jim Holdman and grandsons: Dallas Davis & Reed Martin. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 31st at Community Presbyterian Church in Rocky Ford, CO with Rev. Steve Culver officiating. Friends are invited to call 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, March 30th at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, CO. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 2315 Bott Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80904-3727. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
