Dorothy was born in Sugar City, Colorado to Dave and Pauline Kuhlman and spent her entire life in Crowley County. She was a graduate of Ordway High School class of 1951, and was homecoming queen her senior year. She married Floyd, (Sonny), Meyers in June of 1955 and with him had 2 loving daughters, Lori and Cathy. Dorothy will be remembered by the community for her volunteerism, especially at election time and in countless hours at Crowley County Nursing Center. She worked at Ordway Drug Store behind the soda fountain and as a part-time librarian at the Ordway Library. Her greatest calling

though was as homemaker and mother, spending many years on the farm near Crowley. Her love and devotion to her two daughters was strong and unwavering.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters Lori of Trinidad, Colorado and Cathy of Santa Barbara, California, as well as her brother Fred of Colorado Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd and her parents Dave and Pauline. She leaves behind nieces and nephews and her many friends and acquaintances in the community, all who remember a life well-lived.
