Mrs. Edith Waleska Cover, 100, of Rocky Ford died on Friday, September 24th, 2010 peacefully at Pioneer Health Care Center, Rocky Ford, CO. Edith was born in Rocky Ford, CO on October 5, 1909, the daughter of the late Bryon Bernard and Waleska Hester (Watson) Blotz. She graduated from Rocky Ford High School and from Colorado College with a Bachelor's in Education. She was the widow of Hunter Cover. They were married in 1934 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1974. She was a Homemaker. She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in Rocky Ford, CO. She was a member of PEO and TNT. She is survived by: Step Daughter Mary Margaret Hough of Leawood, Ks.; Sister Sylvia Gobin of LaJunta, Co. She was preceded in death by a son: Charles Byron Cover in 1972; step-son: Hunter Cover. She is also survived by Grandchildren: 2 Graveside Services will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Rocky Ford, CO, at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 28th, with Rev. Steve Culver officiating. There will be no public viewing. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Community Presbyterian Church 303 S. 9th Rocky Ford, CO 81067.
