Eduardo Montoya, 73, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away Monday, July 16th, in Oklahoma City, OK.

Eduardo was born in La Junta, CO on January 7, 1945, a son of the late Cora (Martinez) and Frank Montoya.

He was the husband of Conception Montoya.

Ed worked in roofing most of his life. Manufacturing for the last several years. He worked until about 3 weeks ago.

He enjoyed working with cars, was very handy with tools and spending time with his family and his dogs.

He is survived by: Wife Conception; Son Frank and wife Maria kids are Steve, Rosa, Anthony, April. His grandchildren are Kaiden, Ruby, and Cain. Daughter Laura and husband Rogelio Rivota. Children are Monica and Kayla Rivota. Jorge Reyes and wife Nicole. Children Kristofer, Tori and Jorge Jr., Vanessa and husband Salvador Avila; Daughter Gloria Montoya children Martin Sanchez, Jr., Crystal Sanchez-Montoya (Geronimo), Angel Sanchez-Montoya, Miguel Sanchez-Montoya and 3 great-grandchildren; Children are Karina, Julian and Layla; Daughter Connie Chulin Cabrera and husband Manuel. Children Ramon Montoya, Enrique Chulin - Montoya, Andrea Chulin-Montoya, Grandchild Romeo Martinez; Son Eduardo Montoya II and wife Dawn (Ellefson) children Eduardo Montoya III and Lovisa Maria Montoya; Son Hubert Montoya and wife Michelle (Wooldridge) children Hallie Mae Aguirre, Trevor Jacob Schrumm (Jenisa), Jordyn Noel Frenci (Jacob), Noah Michael Wooldridge and 5 great-grandchildren. Daughter Maribel Mendoza children Edgar Misael Mendoza, Perla Isela Mendoza, Oscar Fabian Fierro, Diviana Lumidea Mendoza and 1 great-grandchild.

Other grandchildren are Tommy Montoya, Luis Castillo, Manny Castillo, and Cindy Miller.

A Rosary Service will be recited at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 23rd with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM both at the St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. Public Viewing will be held 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 22nd at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, CO. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Ordway, CO.
