Edward Kulakowski

Mr. Edward Kulakowski, 87, formerly of La Junta died on Tuesday, June 12th, 2012 peacefully at Crowley County Nursing Center, Ordway, CO. Edward was born in Nanicoke, PA on April 1, 1925, the son of the late Ignasius and Josephine (Turkowski) Kulakowski. He graduated from high school in Solvay, NY and from Pepperdine College. He was the husband of Doris M. (Dewey) Kulakowski. They were married on April 3, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA. She survives. Edward served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was an Executive at Pacific Telephone in Los Angeles, CA, for 33 years, retiring in 1980. He is survived by his wife: Doris of Ordway; Daughter Carolyn wife of Bill Thomas of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Steven Kulakowski of Brazil; Sister Dorothy wife of Leo Zuranski of New York; Granddaughter Ronni Kamberis of Las Vegas, NV; Grandson William husband of Andrea Thomas of Northglenn, CO; Grandson Joseph Thomas of Frisco, TX; Grandson Steven Kulakowski of Brazil. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no local services or viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be private at a later time.
