Edward Woody

December 27, 1930 - June 24, 2010

Edward Coleman Woody, 79, died at Pioneer Health Care Center Thursday morning, June 24, 2010. Mr. Coleman came to Colorado from Eldon, MO, with his family in 1944. He worked at American Crystal Sugar factory and retired from his custom farming business in the early 1990s. He was one of seven children born to Jacob and Norma Woody. Mr. Woody is survived by three sisters and a brother: Ann Woody of the family home, Mary Sackett and Jacob Woody Jr. of Rocky Ford, and Linda McGuire of Sacramento. Also surviving are several special nieces and nephews including Donna and Ray Allison of Rocky Ford, Bill Sackett Jr. of Owasa, OK, Nicole and Randy Magdaleno of Lompoc, CA, Kerri and Kate Geiszler of Sacramento, Beth Sackett Chu of Denver, Joseph Sackett, currently in the US Army, Jackie McFarland of Denver, and John Woody of Colorado Springs. Graveside services will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery at 2:30 Saturday, June 26.
