Eleno "Fred" Gonzales

Mr. Eleno Fernando (Fred) Gonzales, 73, of Rocky Ford passed away on Monday, July 22nd, 2013 suddenly at his residence. Freddie was born in San Luis, CO on October 3, 1939, the son of the late Apafanio and Vibianita (Martinez) Gonzales. He married Catalina Ornelas on Oct. 20, 1962 and they later divorced. Freddie retired as a Farm Worker from Hollar Seeds in Rocky Ford, CO. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO 81067. He is survived by: Daughter Lupe Gonzales of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Freddie Gonzales, Jr. (Sheri Baca) of Rocky Ford, CO; Daughter Alice Gonzales of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Patrick Salas of Rocky Ford, CO; Sister Devilia wife of Lloyd Nelson of Rocky Ford, CO; Brother Salvador Martinez of Rocky Ford, CO. He is also survived by Grandchildren: Dalene, Debra, Deidre, Bernadine, Bernadette, Izaya, Brian, Eric, Michael; great-grandchildren; Soriya, Devon, Kaiden, Anton, Drennon, Cisco, Malakai, Tiana, Dominic Jr., Jacob; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson; Freddie III, 6 sisters and 5 brothers. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM with Memorial Mass to follow at the St. Peters Catholic Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 29th, with Fr. Paul Ekeh officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
