Erlinda was born in Rocky Ford, CO on January 18, 1947, a daughter of the late Sofia Ulibarri (Bernada) and Antonio Herrera.

She was the widow of Juan Jose Garcia, they were married on May 21, 1966 in Bent County, he preceded her in death on June 6, 1995.

Erlinda was a loving mother, grandma, daughter, sister and aunt who loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and great - grandchildren. Erlinda enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together, playing bingo, cheating at uno and dancing and singing to spanish music. She enjoyed giving the nurse's and CNA's a hard time at Pioneer Healthcare Center. She enjoyed going over to her son Tony and Lisa's house to watch scary movies. Erlinda loved talking to her sister, Gloria in spanish on the phone. She also enjoyed going for walks around town with her friend Oscar.

Brother John Herrera, of Rocky Ford, CO;

Brother Sam (Elenor) Herrera, of Rocky Ford, CO.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Roxie (Chris) Chambers, Santana Sandoval, Raef Garcia, Bess Garcia, Adam Baker, Michael Garcia, Cathrine Garcia, Tony Matthew Garcia, Ashley Garcia, Austin Garcia, Yaleena Garcia. 3 great-grandchildren: Stevie Valdez, Zakary Garcia & Lillianna Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Nick and his wife Freda Herrera and Joe Herrera.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 25th at First Christian Church in Rocky Ford, CO with Pastor John Dell and Pastor Sam Herrera officiating. Inurnment will be private at a later time. A memorial fund has been established at First National Bank; 300 Main Street; Rocky Ford, CO 81067.
