Ernest Warren Hendrie, 81, of Rocky Ford, CO passed away Saturday, May 26th, at Pioneer Health Care Center, Rocky Ford.

Ernest was born in Rocky Ford on January 8,1937, the son of the late Ralph Waldo and Thelma Fern (Andrews) Hendrie.          Â

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired railroad employee.

Ernest is survived by:

His wife of 43 years, Florence Juanita (Hunter) Hendrie of Rocky Ford.

A sister, Lorna Mae James of Mexico, Missouri; sister-in-law Barbara Hendrie of Tennessee;

nephews Kevin (Judy) Campbell and Mark Campbell of Rocky Ford; nieces Cheryl (Greg) Hutton of Rocky Ford and Pam (Bob) Konz of Calhan, CO; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Rollin Hendrie; sisters Loene Manchen and

Carolyn Campbell; and brother-in-law Jack Campbell. Â

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford with Pastor Virgil Ortega of Rocky Ford officiating. Â
