Ernestine Moore, 100, of Rocky Ford, CO, passed away Wednesday, May 24th, peacefully, at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center-Nursing Center East, La Junta. Ernestine was born in Rocky Ford, CO on April 2, 1917, a daughter of the late Coral (Killitz) and Ernest Edgar, Sr. She graduated from Rocky Ford High School and attended the University of Denver. She was the widow of Lawrence Moore, they were married in Rocky Ford. Ernestine was a homemaker and worked several jobs through out her life and was a lifetime member of Community Presbyterian Church in Rocky Ford, CO. She enjoyed playing bridge, penuckle, watching horse races, golfing and spending time with her family. She is survived by; Daughter Paula Geary, of Pittsburgh, PA; Son Craig, husband of Linda Moore, of Pueblo, CO; Step Son Richard Moore, of Arizona; Step Daughter Judy, wife of Paul Miles, of North Carolina. She is also survived by Grandsons: Sam Moore, Kise Geary, Clark Geary and David McClain. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her brothers: Austin, Ernest, Jr., Wally and Harold; sister: Helen. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 30th at Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO with Rev. Steve Culver officiating. Interment will be Hillcrest Cemetery Rocky Ford, CO. Per her request, there will be know public viewing.
