Esmeralda "Esme" "Cheme" "Lala" Gamboa Gonzalez passed away on April 1, 2024 at the age of 20 in Pueblo. She was born in Frisco to Norma Gonzalez & Manuel Gamboa on February 13, 2004 at St. Anthony Summit Medical Hospital. She was raised in Dillon, then moved to Greeley CO, in 2020 & was currently living in Pueblo. She graduated from OJC on May 6, 2023.

Esmeralda is survived by her mom & dad Norma Gonzalez & Manuel Gamboa, sister Lizbeth Gamboa, brother Angel Gamboa Jr., grandma Blanca Marquez, grandpa Simon Gonzalez, grandma Ofelia Estrada, grandpa Angel Gamboa, great-grandma Ignacia Marquez, great-grandma Francisca Coronado, great-grandma Emilia Meléndez, great-grandpa Guillermo Estrada. Esmeralda has numerous cousins, uncles, and aunties.

Esmeralda was a loving and caring person. She was very quiet and shy around people. She loved to listen to music, draw, and practice on her nails as she was waiting to take her state exam to become a cosmetologist, she loved hanging out with her family at all the parties we had. But what she loved the most was the love of her life, her soulmate León. Esme will be forever missed and we will continue to keep her spirit alive by memories and the blood that runs through our veins. We thank everyone who has reached out to us to express their condolences and sorrow. This isn't a goodbye this is a see you later. Until we meet up in heaven. We love you.
