Flo Lorraine Mathis

April 16, 1930 - November 29, 2017

Flo Lorraine (Sally) Mathis, 87 of Rocky Ford slipped away from this physical world in the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Colorado Springs after battling a long illness.

She was born in Manter, Kansas on April 16, 1930, to the late Garrett Hobart and Marjorie Bertha (Milburn) Clarkson. She married Marion Arthur Mathis on September 16, 1946 in Syracuse, Kansas. They had five children from this union.

She is survived by two sons, James (Dorothy) Mathis of Pueblo and David (Penny) Mathis of Colorado Springs; one sister Sharon Basye of Bozeman, Montana. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ethel, brothers Gordon, Gale, Theodore, Paul, Roger, two sons Richard and John and daughter Susan Ransom.

Sally had been a long-standing resident of Colorado residing years in Prowers, El Paso and Otero Counties. She will be greatly missed.

A graveside ceremony will be held on Saturday December 2 @ 1:00 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford.
