Florence M. (Juanita) Hendrie, 90, of Rocky Ford, CO passed away Saturday, November 2, at Pioneer Health Care Center, Rocky Ford.

Florence was born in Corsicana, TX on May 1, 1929, the daughter of the late Hoke and Velma Hunter.

She attended Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie, Tx and was employed in a variety of accounting and bookkeeping positions, retiring from the Accounting Department at Texas Instruments, Inc. Florence is survived by her children, Mrs. Melba Payne, Mrs. Kay Salem, Mrs. Debbie Lowry, and Mr. Cecil McGarrah, Jr.; as well as seven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers, and her husband of 43 years, Ernest W. Hendrie of Rocky Ford.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford with Pastor Virgil Ortega of Rocky Ford officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 2315 Bott Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80904-3727.
