Frances Ellen Pacheco

September 5, 1924 - January 11, 2016

Frances Ellen Pacheco, 91, of La Junta, CO, passed away Monday, January 11th, while in the company of family members, at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center-Nursing Center East. Frances was born in Las Animas, CO on September 5, 1924, a daughter of the late Maria Marina (Archuleta) and Hermino C. Blea. She graduated from Rocky Ford High School and attended University of Pacific College in Stockton, CA. She worked as a Teacher and also worked as a farm worker, at the canning plant, American Crystal Sugar Factory and various other occupations. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church Rocky Ford, CO. Frances participated in the Cesar Chavez March in California. She is survived by; Daughter Molly, wife of David Garcia, of Denver, CO; Daughter Ruby Baca, of Denver, CO; Daughter Pauline, wife of Lawrence Pantoya, of La Junta, CO; Son Billy, husband of Jessica Baca, of Tracy, CA; Son Frederico Cheto Baca, of La Junta, CO; Daughter Emma Jean, wife of Mike Navone, of Tracy, CA; Son Danial Joe, husband of Alma Baca, of Tracy, CA; Daughter Lillian, wife of Martin Esparza, of Stockton, CA; Son Harold Ron Pacheco, of La Junta, CO; Son Henry, husband of Delinda Pacheco, of Livermore, CA; Son Leonard Patrick, husband of Ida Pacheco, of Tracy, CA; Sister Ruby Gonzales, of Stockton, CA. She is also survived by 31 Grandchildren; numerous, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sons: Richard Baca, Steven Baca & Jimmy "Santiago" Baca; 2 brothers: Joe & George Blea; 4 sisters: Sarah Chaparro, Marcella Gomez, Mary Agnes Gomez, Pasquelita Ortega. A Memorial Mass will be on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 10:30 AM with a Rosary to be recited prior to the Mass at 10:00 AM both at St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO. Inurnment will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.fordustick.com.
