Mrs. Freeda Miller, 96, of La Junta died Saturday, October 8th, 2011 peacefully at the Pioneer Health Care Center, Rocky Ford, CO. Freeda was born in Loveland, CO on March 17, 1915, the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Katharina (Handshuh) Ehrlich. She graduated from Las Animas High School in 1929. She was the widow of David Miller. They were married on Jan. 5, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was a Homemaker and also worked at the Arkansas Valley Hospital in La Junta. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in La Junta, CO . She was a past volunteer for the Salvation Army. She is survived by Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter: Mildred Joann Reeder; 2 sons: Gerald "Jerry" Miller & Kenneth "Larry" Miller; grandson: Gary Reeder. Funeral Services at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home, Rocky Ford, CO, at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 12th, with Pastor Wallace Kurtz officiating. A Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9 AM until service time at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemeteries in La Junta, CO.
