Gary Vincent Martinez, 51, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away Saturday, January 9th, peacefully. Gary was born in Pueblo, CO on February 29, 1964, a son of Louis Martinez, of Pueblo, CO 81005 and the late Patricia (Valdez) Martinez. Gary graduated from Widefield High School in Colorado Springs, CO in 1982 and attended Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, CO. Gary enjoyed skiing, watching Denver Broncos, enjoying time with family, especially his nephews and niece and friends. He is survived by His father Louis Martinez of Pueblo, CO; Sister Geraldine, wife of Mark Vigil, of Lakewood, CO; Fiance Diana Culver, of Colorado Springs, CO; Nephew Brian, husband of Rose Vigil, of Castle Rock, CO; Nephew Michael, husband of Abby Vigil, of Little Rock, AR; Niece Nicole Vigil, of Lakewood, CO. He is also survived by Great-Nephews: Jaydon & Davian Vigil & Donovan Gonzales. Gary was preceded in death by his mother: Patty Martinez; brother: Larry Martinez; sister: Shirley Kay Martinez; grandparents & great-grandparents. A Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the st. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, CO., with Fr. Tomy Wojcinski officiating. A Rosary service will be be recited prior to the Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.
