Gary L. Montgomery, Sr.

Mr. Gary Lynn Montgomery, Sr., 59, of La Junta passed away on Monday, August 16th, 2010 at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Gary was born in Pueblo, CO on October 28, 1950, the son of Gary Robert and A'Loah Jeane (Beach) Montgomery. He graduated from McClave High School and attended OJC in LaJunta. He retired as a Newspaper Distributor in LaJunta for The Pueblo Chieftain in 2009 after 19 years of dedicated service. He was Baptized in the Church of Christ in LaJunta, CO. He was a past member of ABATE of Colorado. He enjoyed making and playing guitars and was a very talented musician. He loved fishing and riding motorcycles. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents; Son Gary L. Montgomery, Jr. of LaJunta, CO; Daughter Stephanie wife of Josh Nymon of Carlsbad, CA; Son Christopher Montgomery of Carlsbad, CA; Daughter Melanie Montgomery of Las Animas, CO; Daughter Casey Montgomery of Grand Junction, CO; Daughter Jessie wife of Aaron Cleghorn of LaJunta, CO; Step Daughter Airianna Thomas of Pueblo, CO; Brother D. Douglas husband of Debbie Montgomery of Franktown, CO; Grandchildren 4; Niece; Julie Montgomery of Franktown, CO; Nephew; Jeff Montgomery of Franktown, CO; He is also survived by Special friends Monico & Tom. Funeral Services will be at the Ford-Ustick Funeral Home, Rocky Ford, CO, at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 20th, 2010. A Visitation will be Friday 12 PM until service time at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home.
