George Franklin Russell of Las Animas passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Las Animas at the age of 86. George was born in San Rafael, California to Charles and Marie Russell. George enjoyed reading his bible, going to church at St. Mary's Catholic Church, taking walks and visiting with his grandchildren.

George is survived by his son Matthew Russell (Amanda), 4 grandchildren: Sierra Renee Russell, Keegan Christopher Russell, Emma Regina Russell, Melina Rita Russell, 1 brother William Russell (Cynthia) of Sigel, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Russell in 2014.
